Management Team

Rob Lachenauer
Chief Executive Officer

Rob Lachenauer was the Vice President and Director of The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) from 1995 to 2004 and the head of its North American Automotive Practice. He has experience with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, diesel engine manufacturers, lawn mower manufacturers and muffler manufacturers. Rob led BCG’s intellectual property strategy effort with GEO2 prior to joining the company. His experience with automotive companies includes helping vehicle makers create and implement strategies relating to their platform architecture, powertrain architecture, aftermarket approach, dealerships, purchasing/supply base and brands. He has worked in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Mr. Lachenauer holds a B.A. from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. He co-authored a book published by the Harvard Business School Press entitled “Hardball” which was translated into six languages.

 

Dr. Bilal Zuberi
Vice President of Product Development.

Prior to joining GEO2, Bilal Zuberi was a consultant in the Boston office of The Boston Consulting Group, advising clients in automotive and industrial markets, especially in matters of intellectual property. Bilal has studied the formation mechanisms of particulate pollution (from anthropogenic and natural sources) in the atmosphere, the microphysics and chemistry of particulates in the environment and the effects of particulate pollution on local, regional and global climate change. He has also researched the air quality programs in the U.S. and Mexico City and was a member of the lead team researching air quality in Mexico City and the improvements in Mexico City pollution indices due to stricter government regulations, use of automobile and diesel emission controls and management of industrial processes. Bilal earned a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from MIT with a specialization in environmental pollution and exhaust emissions. Bilal is responsible for the development of GEO2’s products for its customers.

 

Dr. James J. Liu
Senior Ceramics Scientist

Dr. Liu has a Ph. D Ceramic Engineering from University of Missouri - Rolla, and over 15 years experience in material composition and processing research.  He has worked extensively in academic and industrial research projects developing new materials and processes.  Dr. Liu has pioneered several new products that have been successfully commercialized and marketed. He also has published over 30 refereed papers and has ten patents in the materials field.  He is responsible for GEO2 materials and technologies development.

 

Jim Marshall
Senior Process Engineer

Jim Marshall worked for ten years at Corning Inc. leading the ramp up of extruded honeycomb substrates from pilot and lab scale to production volumes. He also held positions at Corning in quality and raw materials controls. Jim worked also at World Kitchen Inc. as a glass technologist and raw materials engineer and at Purification Cellutions in manufacturing. Jim earned his B.S. and M.S. in ceramic engineering from Alfred University in New York.

 

Noah Loren
Director, Product Applications

Prior to joining GEO2 Technologies, Noah Loren was a senior project engineer at General Motors Corporation, where he was responsible for diesel engine and exhaust aftertreatment integration in both light- and heavy-duty vehicles. Noah has also held positions at Detroit Diesel Corporation in both product application and engine/emissions development. Noah holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester and an M.S. in Management of Technology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. At GEO2, Noah leads our test programs and directs application of our technologies across various industries.

 

Adam Wallen
Director, Business Partnerships

Adam was formerly the Product Manager at Unifrax Corporation, a manufacturer of high temperature fiber materials, and the Marketing Director for a Medical Device manufacturing company. Adam has earned his B.S. in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University and an M.B.A. from University at Buffalo.

Art O’Dea
Director, Intellectual Property

Prior to joining GEO2, Art was Patent Counsel for Cognex Corporation where he managed IP matters, including patent prosecution, patent litigation, and IP licensing. Art has a BSME from the University of Vermont, an MS-CIM from BYU, and a JD from the Massachusetts School of Law. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar, and a registered Patent Attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Art is responsible for managing the intellectual property portfolio of GEO2.
