Gary Weiss
Director, Chairman of the Board
Gary Weiss, founder of Weiss Group, LLC, has more
than 30 years of experience in building and managing
technology businesses. The Weiss Group, LLC specializes
in assisting growth companies by providing management,
advisory, financing and executive search services.
Gary served as President and CEO of Source Services,
a search and recruiting business that grew from $3
million to $80 million in sales while building 140
offices across the U.S. and Canada, with 480 search
professionals. Prior to joining Source Services, he
held various positions at Periphonics (an Exxon Enterprises
Company) and IBM. Gary received his B.S. in Marketing
from the University of Arizona.
Jim Alexandre
Director
James L. Alexandre is currently a private investor
in London, UK managing a diversified portfolio of
public and private investments. Previously, he worked
for Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation (CSFB)
in Japan as president, CSFB Securities-Japan and in
New York and in London as Co-Chief Integration Officer
in conjunction with CSFB’s acquisition of Donaldson,
Lufkin, and Jenrette Securities Corporation. Prior
to his employment by CSFB, Jim served in a variety
of executive positions for Donaldson, Lufkin, and
Jenrette initially responsible for DLJ’s analytical
work relating to the automobile and automobile-related
sectors and ultimately serving as president and CEO
of DLJ International in London. He serves as a director
of Dealerwire, Fallbrook Technologies and the Board
of the College of Arts and Sciences Foundation at
the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Jim
holds a B.A. with honors from the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from the Harvard
Business School.
James T. Bartlett
Director
At the start of his extensive career, James T. Bartlett was an Associate and then Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co. Subsequently, he became a Partner-Founder of Dryden & Company, a private equity investment firm, and afterwards a Partner-Founder of Fernwood Associates, a private equity partnership investing in manufacturing companies in New England. Jim represented Fernwood Associates as a senior operating or financial person in a variety of companies. Next, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Acme-Cleveland Corporation, a Cleveland-based manufacturer of machine tools, telecommunication equipment and electronic components. From Acme-Cleveland, Jim joined Primus Venture Partners as Managing Director. Primus Venture Partners manages private equity capital through a series of limited partnerships involving industrial products, telecommunications, software, medical devices and services and outsourced business services. Jim retired from active involvement in Primus Venture Partners in 2003 but remains a member of the Advisory Board. Jim has served and serves on a number of Boards of Directors, Advisory Boards and non-profit Trusteeships. Among these, he is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Lamson & Sessions, a NYSE listed multi-faceted manufacturer, and he is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Cleveland Art Museum. Jim holds a B.A. cum laude from Amherst College and an M.B.A. (with distinction) from the Harvard Business School.
William Klehm III
Director
Bill Klehm brings more than 20 years of automotive
experience to the Company. He has held numerous leadership
positions in the automotive business, including finance,
marketing, sales, product development, and manufacturing
operations. He is currently the President and Chief
Executive Officer of Fallbrook Technologies Inc.,
which is developing an innovative continuously variable
transmission. From 2002 to 2004, Bill was President
and General Manager of Newgen Results Corporation
(“Newgen”). Prior to joining Newgen, he
served as President and Visteon SBU Director for Visteon
Climate Control Systems. Bill was instrumental in
developing and launching Visteon’s Aftermarket
Division. He holds a B.A. in Management and Marketing
from Northwood University. He also participated in
the Executive Development Program at Harvard University.
Gary E. Jacobs
Director
Gary Jacobs is the Managing Director of Jacobs Investment Company, which participates in real estate development and other investment activities throughout the United States and abroad. In addition, he has multi-million dollar investments in several other venture capital funds. He also owns and operates a professional minor league baseball team, the Lake Elsinore Storm, affiliated with the San Diego Padres. Gary serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for High Tech High, a public charter high school, and is a board member of the San Diego Symphony and the UCSD Board of Overseers. Gary's other philanthropic work includes being a past president of the United Jewish Federation of San Diego County. Additionally, Gary and his wife created and funded the Gary and Jerri-Ann Jacobs International Teen Leadership Institute which promotes Muslim / Jewish understanding. Prior to his current investment and philanthropic activities, Gary worked as a software engineer and senior education specialist at QUALCOMM, Inc. and as a software programmer at Linkabit Incorporated. Gary holds a B.A. in Management Science from the University of California at San Diego.
Ernest H. Pomerantz
Director
Ernie Pomerantz is the Chairman of StoneWater Capital LLC, a specialized asset management firm based in New York City. Previously he was a Managing Director of MESA Partners, LLC, and for 20 years he served as a Partner and Managing Director of Warburg Pincus, working in a range of industries including automotive, energy, financial services, retail, and media. Prior to this, Pomerantz was a public market equities portfolio manager and security analyst at both Warburg Pincus and Kuhn Loeb for 11 years. He has served as a director of a number of public and private companies and is currently a director of The Cobalt Group, Mobile Productivity Inc, ATX Group Inc. and Phoenix Houses of Texas. Ernie served as a US Navy Lieutenant from 1964 to 1969 and holds a B.S. in Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California/London School of Economics and an M.B.A. from New York University.
