A new ceramic material for honeycomb substrates...
...for the next generation emission control and catalyst support applications
GEO2 Technologies’ (GEO2) has developed an advanced ceramic composite material for use as catalyst support substrates and particulate filters. Our material is extruded into high surface area honeycombs with multiple cell geometries and shapes.
GEO2 ceramic chemistries + Extrusion process = High performance honeycomb substrates
Properties
- High porosity (> 65%) with thermomechanical robustness
- Uniform open-network pore structure
- Oxide and non-oxide chemistries
Benefits
- Low backpressure
- Multi-catalyst functionality
- High particle trapping efficiency (> 98%)
- Compatible with existing manufacturing processes
Our advanced cellular ceramic substrates serve as catalyst supports and filters, primarily for applications in gasoline and diesel automobiles, motorcycles, heavy duty trucks, agricultural equipment, small engines, and in the specialty chemical/pharmaceutical industry.
The GEO2 material is being introduced into these markets through licensing arrangements with existing substrate manufacturers, catalyst suppliers, and system integrators. For additional information, please contact us.
